Updates on BTE Sponsored Racers: Summer 2019

At BTE Racing, we strive to be more than a supplier of high-performance parts. We want to be Part of Your Racing Team. Whether that means working with you to fine-tune specs for a custom part, or offering trackside assistance on race day, our knowledgeable technicians have your back.

For some competitive racing teams, we take our support a step further by sponsoring drivers. This can include receiving free or discounted BTE parts and service, cool swag, and occasional social media shout outs. Here are some recent updates from BTE-sponsored racers.

Swanson MotorSports
Swanson Motorsports is a husband and wife team who are first-generation racers and are already making a name for themselves. Wife, Afton Swanson (27), is a threat behind the wheel while husband, Joe Swanson (29), acts as crew chief.

These past two seasons, Afton finished on NHRA’s Top 25 in national points standings despite not being able to attend all the races. Driving with a BTE transmission on board, they recently won their first Top Dragster NHRA national event in the Heartland Nationals in Topeka.

Luke Bogacki Motorsports
Some of you may have had the pleasure of meeting one of the best drag racers around, Luke Bogacki. Luke has been racing for a while now, starting off in Jr. Dragsters in 1993, and has had an amazing racing career so far.

Luke is a two-time NHRA World Champion, five-time NHRA division champion and 14-time NHRA national event winner with more than 50 big-money bracket racing wins—a career many racers only dream of. Most recently, Luke was the Super Comp winner at NHRA Division 3 Race at Route 66 Raceway. He doesn’t plan on slowing down, even as a part-timer. Where there’s big money to be won, you can be sure to find Luke Bogacki.

Gauger Motorsports
If you’ve ever seen a huge monster truck with a big USA-1 on the side, it belongs to the awesome Roger Gauger from Gauger Motorsports. After purchasing his first truck in 1991, Roger got to work to build something he could race.

Gauger Motorsports is home of the Quadzilla and, of course, the USA-1. Roger is a proud customer of BTE and has a BTE transmission in his new truck. If you want to catch any of these trucks make sure to follow him on Facebook or catch him at any major racing venue or local county fairs.

Timid Tiger Racing
Father/daughter duo, Mike Roelle (crew chief) and Michaelyn Roelle (driver), Timid Tiger Racing is relatively new to the BTE family. When the family racing team first came together, Mike was racing circle boats in the American Powerboat Association.

Representing the Timid Tiger name today is daughter, Michaelyn, who has already started to make her mark in the drag racing world. Coming in 4th in NMCA West’s Pro Comp, 3rd in NMCA West’s Super Quick, and winning the first NMCE West top dragster shootout have been major highlights for this drag racer. Don’t let the team name fool you—Timid Tiger Racing is anything but tame on the track.

StigO Motorsport
Like the singer Pitbull, BTE is also worldwide. We'd be remiss not to mention our friends from StigO Motorsports who hail from Sweden and help sell our products to Swedish clientele. They are a family team who have decided to give it a go drag racing here in the states. Be sure to check them out on the track and say välkommen (welcome)! We look forward to seeing their continued success using BTE parts and service.
