How High-Quality BTE Products Are Made

What is the CNC Machine?
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control machine and it automates the manufacturing process of milling or lathe operations. This means that it helps us make our products faster and ensure consistent quality.
 

         

 

How does it work?

1. The first step is sometimes referred to as CAD (Computer Aided Design).   Usually, we’ll use computer software built in the machine to create a design—in our case it’s usually 3D designs.
 

2. The second step is called CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing). This step is crucial, and it’s where we go into the detail of the manufacturing process like the type of material being used, type of cut needed, cutting speed, and creating the instructions to allow the machine to create what we need.

 

3. The final step is called CNC (Computer Numerical Control). This is when we input the instructions into the machine (known as G-Code) telling it how to make the product we need. It’s the final step to the creation of BTE products. 

 

What does this mean to you?
Our newest machine is a Haas VF-4SS CNC machine. It’s a fast-operating workhorse designed for milling projects, which is essential. Most of our product line comes from these machines in some form or fashion—either as part of the manufacturing process, or entirely from the raw material. Having this lean, mean, manufacturing machine gives us the ability to continue providing affordable high-quality racing products every time you place your order.
