Drag Strip Series: Florida

We’re here in the sunny state of Florida that’s packed with so many racetracks that we’ll have to come back with a part two to cover them all. Below you’ll find some of the top-rated tracks in the state, including a track that’s open ALL YEAR! Enjoy.

Immokalee Regional Raceway
This 1/8 mile drag strip is named after the small town found in the south of Florida. As of March 25, 2021 the track is undergoing some renovations which include the relocation of the tower, a new finish line and timing system. According to their website, the track should be up and running by the end of this month with some exciting events.

Bradenton Motorsports Park
Founded in 1974 this ¼ mile long is open all year long! The track is NHRA approved with  spacious pits and located near Tampa. All event updates can be found on their website and Facebook page, so be sure to follow them.

Powerhouse Motorsports Park
After recent updates of added lighting, a wider staging lane, and a track extension last winter, the Powerhouse Motorsports Park is up and running. Event updates are available on their Facebook page for both drag racing and dirt drag racing.

Orlando Speed World Dragway
Skip the trip to Disney World and instead go to Orlando’s second most magical place in the world, the dragstrip. Orlando Speed World Dragway ¼ mile track was first built in 1966 and is sanctioned by the NHRA. It has great reviews from both racers and spectators and has several test and tune nights lined up for the rest of April.
