Drag Racing Events to Look Forward to in 2021

Drag Racing Events to Look Forward to in 2021

This year brought on a lot of cancellations, but as 2020 finally comes to an end it’s time to look at the next chapter. Here are a few events members of the BTE community mentioned they are looking forward to in 2021.

Drag Race for a Cure
Drag Race for a Cure (DRC) was created by David Pike in memory of Kayla who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis. Their events help raise money to help the ongoing efforts to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, but they also use the funds to help other causes like the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and autism organizations. For all the latest updates on events check out their Facebook page.

World Footbrake Challenge
This one is further into the year, but with time moving so quickly, there’s no harm in preparing now. The World Footbrake Challenge is coming back September 2-5, 2021 and because they had such a great turnout this year, the jackpot has the potential to reach $250,000 in winnings. You can find more details on the official Facebook page

Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals
The most anticipated event of the year is a trademark in drag racing and considered the biggest drag racing event in the world. It’s also the longest-running Labor Day motorsports event in the country. Every drag racing fan or racer has made their way down to Lucas Oil Raceway for their chance to experience this huge event. No date has officially been set for 2021, but it’s one we’ll definitely be looking forward to in the new year.
