Car of the Week: Todd Smith's 1991 Chevy S10

Welcome to the BTE Racing Car of the Week series, where we feature our customers and drag racing fans, and the cars (and trucks) they love to race. Today we're featuring Todd Smith from Baltimore, Ohio, who owns and races a 1991 Chevy S10.

How did you get into drag racing?
I always wanted to build a drag car after several attempts, marriage, my son being born, buying 2 houses my lovely wife went through some health issues and after she recovered she gave the “green light” to get into drag racing. I’m on my 8th year racing.

Where was your first drag race?
National Trail Raceway, my home track.

What model/year do you race now?
1991 Chevy S10

Does your car have a nickname?
Lil Black 2.0

What's under the hood?
Sbc 409

Which BTE Racing products do you use in your vehicle?
Ashamed to say, none yet.

Why do you use BTE?
I personally have not yet but my son has had great results with them, when the need arises I’ll be sure to give BTE a call.

Do you have any stories about how BTE helped you improve your racing?
Soon, hopefully.

A drag racer you look up to?
My son, he has accomplished so much in such a short time. 

If money were no object, what would you drive?
Pro stock car

What is your pre-race ritual (if you have one)?
Get my breathing under control, I get excited when I strap in.
