Welcome to the BTE Racing Car of the Week series, where we feature our loyal customers and drag racing fans, and the cars (and trucks) they love to race. Today we're featuring Tim Crutcher from Jackson Tennessee, who owns and races a 1984 Monte Carlo SS.

How did you get interested in drag racing?
I always wanted to get into racing but my father-in-law, Scott Mills, is who really pushed me to go for it.

When and where was your first drag race?
Jackson, Tennessee 

What model/year do you race now? Any special features?
2000 Chevy Camaro SS heads/cam LS1 

Does your car have a nickname?
White Lightnin'

What's under the hood?
It has a 388 stroker sbc, powerglide trans, along with a BTE torque converter.  

Which BTE Racing products do you use in your vehicle?
BTE torque converter

Scott Mills

If money were no object, what would your dream car be?
My Monte Carlo SS is my dream car. 

What is your proudest drag racing moment?
I'd have to say the first pass I ever made.

Why do you race?
Because it's my dream.

What is your biggest challenge as a driver?
My biggest challenge is getting my reaction time down.
