Car of the Week: Robert Anderson's 1963 Corvette

Welcome to the BTE Racing Car of the Week series, where we feature our customers and fans, and the cars (and trucks) they love to race. Today, it’s all about Robert Anderson from Cassatt, SC and his 1963 Corvette.

How did you get into drag racing?

My dad raced in the late 60s, early 70s so racing is in my blood. I started in 1995 after going with some friends and got hooked.

When and where was your first race?

My first race was at a little track called little Darlington and I was racing a '75 Monza. A lot has changed since then.

What model/year do you race now?

I now have a '63 Corvette.

What's under the hood?

461 ci SBC, 12-degree Alan Johnson heads, Hogan intake that runs 5.20's (all motor)

Which BTE products do you use in your vehicle?

BTE converter and powerglide

If money were no object, what would you drive?

A pro stock. That would be fun.
