How did you get interested in drag racing?
A '70's UK car magazine called Street Machine
When and where was your first drag race?
1985, Long Marston race track (later called Shakespeare County Raceway), with a '73 Firebird Formula 400, ran 13's
What model/year do you race now? Any special features?
1979 Vauxhall Viva Estate (wagon), 25.4 tube chassis, all owner-built
Does your car have a nickname?
What's under the hood?
427 Pontiac V8, twin turbo, Holley efi etc.
Which BTE Racing products do you use in your vehicle?
TH400 trans parts- Vasco input shaft/36 element pro mod direct drum & intermediate clutch pack/Vasco intermediate shaft/ billet alloy transbrake valve body/deep alloy oil pan/SFI spec bellhousing/roller tailshaft housing etc
Why do you use BTE? How has BTE helped you improve your racing?
I bought some of your parts off the internet for my trans build a few years back and was impressed by the quality and value for money. Fast forward a couple of years and we’re now the sole UK distributor of BTE products through our transmission rebuilding business—Edge Performance Transmissions. BTE's parts are in some of the UK's quickest street/race cars in transmissions built by us. It also allowed me to build a better transmission for my car.

We are currently building it—my son's 76' Vauxhall Firenza droopsnoot.

Winning the 2009 Gary's Picnic street car shootout at Shakey
