Car of the Week: Jerald Hicks' 1992 Chevy Camaro

Welcome to the BTE Racing Car of the Week series, where we feature our customers and fans, and the cars (and trucks) they love to race. Today, it’s all about Jerald Hicks from Flatwoods, KY and his 1992 Chevy Camaro RS.     

How did you get into drag racing? 

 I used to weigh 800 pounds and loved racing. I lost 450 pounds and I was able race and build my first car.  

 When and where was your first race? 

 At I-64 Motorplex in Owingsville, KY around five years ago  

What model/year do you race now? 

1992 Camaro RS 

Does your car have a nickname? 

“Money for Nothing” 

What's under the hood? 

406 SBC, PBM aluminum heads, 14.5 compression, 682 roller, Lunati shaft, single plain intake with Bigs 950 carburetor 

Which BTE products do you use in your vehicle? 

 8” spragless converter  

Why do you use BTE? 

Because BTE builds quality products and sponsors racers

John Force
