Welcome to the BTE Racing Car of the Week series, where we feature our customers and drag racing fans, and the cars (and trucks) they love to race. Today we're featuring Chris Morales from Lubbock, Texas, who owns and races a 1993 Chevy Silverado.

How did you get into drag racing?
I've always had a passion for drag racing. My step-dad and I built this truck about 4 years and just started going to our local track, Lubbock Dragway.

When and where was your first drag race?
4 years ago at Lubbock Dragway. 

What model/year do you race now?
1993 Chevy Silverado

Does your car have a nickname?
Shop Truck

What's under the hood?
383 stroker with 175 shot

None yet. 

Why do you use BTE?
Not sure yet 

Do you have any stories about how BTE helped you improve your racing?
No, but this is awesome. Thanks for the chance to do this.

A drag racer you look up to?
I've always loved Dennis Anderson who drives the original Grave Digger.

If money were no object, what would you drive?
A custom-built Rat Rod.

What is your pre-race ritual (if you have one)?
Just stop and get a Monster.
