Welcome to the BTE Racing Car of the Week series, where we feature our customers and fans, and the cars (and trucks) they love to race. Today, it’s all about Brad Mayo of Manly, Iowa and his 2010 275-inch Top Dragster.
How did you get into drag racing?
My father Clarence got into drag racing when his neighbor had a nitro funny car when he was growing up. He has since inspired me to get into drag racing 30 years ago.

The car we currently race is a 2010 Mike Bos 275-inch top dragster, blown alcohol
Which BTE products do you use in your vehicle?
We're currently using a BTE Powerglide transmission with a BTE a bolt together torque converter.
Why do you use BTE?
We use BTE products due to the quality construction and consistency at the racetrack and excellent staff knowledge at BTE Racing.
Someone you look up to in racing?
The one person I would look up to the most in drag racing would be David Reher, from Reher Morrison Racing Engines.
If money were no object, what would you race?
I would be running a top alcohol dragster.
What is your pre-race ritual (if you have one)?
Pointing at the driver, telling him to send the competition home before each round.
