Welcome to the BTE Racing Car of the Week series, where we feature our loyal customers and drag racing fans, and the cars (and trucks) they love to race. Today we're featuring Ben Partlow from Askov, MN, who owns and races a 2016 Mega Truck.

How did you get interested in drag racing?
I saw it on tv as a kid. Got into drag racing as a kid which progressed into dirt track racing, and now mud drags/hill in a hole mega truck racing.

When and where was your first drag race?
1999 Rock Falls Raceway in Eau Claire, WI.

What model/year do you race now? Any special features?
Custom rear engine tube chassis mega truck

Does your car have a nickname?

What's under the hood?
568” alky injected big block chevy


Which BTE Racing products do you use in your vehicle?
9” race converter, ring less PG input shaft, PG front pump

Why do you use BTE? How has BTE helped you improve your racing?
I use BTE parts because they flat-out work! Customer service is great also and they stand behind their products.

Describe BTE Racing in 3 words.
Damn good company!

Who is a drag racer you look up to?
Anyone and everyone.. it’s all a big happy family and everyone is willing to help one another—until the helmet goes on!

If money were no object, what would your dream car be?
Probably ‘70 Chevelle SS big block 4 speed car

What is your proudest drag racing moment?
Winning class championship after a rough yr of lots of broken parts.

Why do you race?
Because I enjoy the family and I love to see the expressions and smiles when a kid sees me doing what I love doing! That’s what it’s all about is the kids that look up to us!

What is your biggest challenge as a driver?
Being competitive every weekend on changing tracks.
